No IQ Poker Summary

No IQ Poker, established on the iPoker Network in 2006, is an online poker room with variable hits and misses. On the upside, the iPoker Network provides a consistently large flow of traffic at all hours. The software is great, with lots of features and customization, the game variety is above average and there’s always a lot of juicy competition to pad your bankroll with ease. On the downside, there’s not a lot of great promotions (aside from a generous sign-up bonus), there’s not a lot of options for using collected points, and the software is only compatible with Windows. US players are not accepted, either. Generally speaking, if you live outside of the US, have a Windows computer and are a fan of the iPoker Network, No IQ Poker is an excellent online poker room to toss chips.

No IQ Poker Software

No IQ Poker is powered by PlayTech, a leading developer of online poker software that is tried and true across a plethora of successful online poker rooms. The software is quite fast, and receives frequent updates with little downtime as a result. PlayTech is very good at what they do, giving member of No IQ Poker a magnificently graphical experience with exceptional 3D effects.

The No IQ Poker software is very stable and comes complete with all of the features and functions players have come to expect from a well reputed online poker room, such as customizable window sizes, mini-views and good multi-tabling, as well as a full range of stats in play and in the lobby.

Players must download the software to play at No IQ Poker, which is unfortunate for Mac/Linux users (without an emulator program anyways). The No IQ Poker client is only compatible with Windows operating systems.

No IQ Poker Bonuses & Promotions

New members of No IQ Poker who sign up a real money account and make their first deposit will receive a generous welcome bonus of 100% up to $600 by using signupcode BAR. The player has 90 days to earn as much of the bonus as they can before it expires. For every 1,000 FPP (frequent player points) collected, $10 of the bonus is released into the player’s real money account. FPP are collected for playing raked ring games and paying tournament fees (not to be confused with buy-ins). The rate of FPP accumulations varies by a players’ color-coded VIP level.  To read more about this signup bonus please click here.

No IQ Poker always hosts a few time-based lucrative promotions, but the list is never very long. Most are leaderboard-style competition awarding thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, to the eventual winners.

FPP can be used to enter special tournaments, or to purchase some nifty items from the No IQ Poker Web Shop, such as electronics, apparel, sporting goods, games and exclusive No IQ Poker items.

As part of the iPoker Network, No IQ Poker offers four Progressive Jackpot Sit’n’Go tournaments running daily – the $50k Fort Knox, $25k Rio, $15k Maui and $2k Dirty Dozen. Players who win these tournaments 4 to 6 times consecutively will release the progressive jackpot.

No IQ Poker Ring Game Variety & Traffic

No IQ Poker offers a good variety of online poker games, ranging from Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo to 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Stud. Stakes start at penny-games going up to $40, with games varying between limit, pot limit and no limit. Heads-up, short-handed and full-tables are all available.

No IQ Poker averages about 24,000 players at, about 1/3 found in ring games. Traffic is heavily concentrated in limit and no limit Hold’em, but the large numbers ensure steady tables in all game varieties and stakes. The juiciest competition is found at low limits, but even the $2/$4 tables often reveal a viewed-flop percentage of 60% and higher.

No IQ Poker Tournaments & Traffic

No IQ Poker has a full tournament schedule including both Sitn’Go tournaments and Multi-Table tournaments. Sit’n’Gos offer regular buy-in tournaments, ranging from $1 to $200, as well as satellites to bigger events. Sit’n’Go tournaments are extremely well populated, especially in the progressive jackpot series (Fort Knox, Rio, Maui and Dirt Dozen).

On the Multi-Table side of the No IQ Poker tournament fence, Freerolls are a way of life, especially popular among beginners and new members of the online poker room. No IQ Poker hosts a multitude of daily Freeroll competitions with prize pools ranging from $15 to $100. Larger Freerolls are held throughout the week, including $250 Freerolls every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, $300 Freerolls every Monday and Friday, a $500 Freeroll every Sunday and the big $1,000 Freeroll every Wednesday.

Guaranteed tournaments are also well populated, with buy-ins ranging from $1 to $500. The biggest weekly GP tournaments at No IQ Poker are a $100k GP every Friday with a $50+$5 buy-in; another $100k GP every Saturday with a $100+$10 buy-in, and the weekly $200k GP on Sundays with a $200+$15 buy-in. These are all Freezout style tournaments – favored by skilled poker players. Entering various satellite tournaments throughout the week can award seats in these lucrative events at a much lower cost.

No IQ Poker sees an average of 24,000 players at peak hours, about 2/3’s of which flock to the tournament venue of the online poker room. Freerolls and low-cost tournaments often reveal extremely loose play, while the more expensive tournaments are a bit more difficult to win.

Support

No IQ Poker has a pretty good customer support team, though live support is only available during European peak hours. To make matters worse, you cannot obtain live support, or even submit a help ticket, without a current membership. Other than this, the support is very good, being both fast and knowledgeable. The No IQ Poker web site even supplies a list of resources to resolve most issues, including an extensive FAQ page and troubleshooting guide.

Payment Methods

No IQ Poker accepts a limited number of deposit and withdrawal methods (US players not accepted).

Deposit Methods: Visa, MasterCard, NETeller, Moneybookers and Bank Transfer.

Withdrawal Methods: Visa, NETeller, Moneybookers and Bank Transfer.
